Any of you guys that live around Duplin County, next Friday, February 10, Conformity Falls is going to be doing an acoustic show at Pizza Village in Warsaw at 8pm. GO SEE THEM! They're really talented guys! They also have a show Saturday at Lake Artesia at 8pm. Go see that one too! If I can make the two hour trip, surely you locals could swing by and catch a great show. This was my comfort toy when I was little. I had a Popple just like this that I carried everywhere with me. I remember one time we went out to eat and I left him at the restaurant...we had already driven about 30 minutes from the place towards home when I realized I didn't have him. I started crying and my mom told me basically to get over it. But Daddy knew how important it was...he turned around and went back and got my Popple. His name was Puff. I still had him until all the stuff in my Dad's old house got stolen. I miss my Puff.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last Sunday I committed genocide... Sorry about that, [info]jovox (-5000 points). In January I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In July I ruled Iran as a cruel and heartless dictator (-700 points). Last Tuesday I pulled [info]laurie2004's hair (-5 points). In October I helped [info]shedevillll9 hide a body (-173 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-5552 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich!

I'm so excited about Christmas! We have everything for our tree now except the lights. I'm going to do a really simple tree (mostly cause I'm too poor to do anything else)- covered in about 1000 white lights, then with a lot of snowflake ornaments all over, and then blue and silver balls. That's it. Oh, and a silver star tree topper of course. I think it'll be really nice. I'll make sure to put a picture up when we get done putting it up next weekend.

And holy cow, can you believe Thanksgiving is in a few days?!?! There's been so little mention of it this year, I think I just kind of forgot it like everyone else did. We as a society, misplaced Thanksgiving. We went straight from Halloween to Christmas.

And only one more month till Matt and Tiff get here. Yay!

And I can't believe it took me this long to get to it, but Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was WONDERFUL! I haven't enjoyed a movie like that in ages- certainly waaaaay more than I liked PoA. I cried so hard for about the last 30 mins of the movie (those of you who've seen it know what originally set me off). I just got so involved in the movie- I wasn't just crying because of what happened in the movie at the time, but because of the emotional response that was evoked at the thought of the wider implications of what was happening, as in what will be happening in later installments. I'm sure you all think I'm mental now, but I just think it means they did a fabulous job with the movie. I must say, I really hope this director can stick around for Order of the Phoenix.
